Work / Spencer K. Prescott
An author brand, a launch site, and the ads that put the first chapter in people's hands.
The Allison Creek Trilogy is a young-adult fantasy series about angels, witches and the dead, set in a small town.
I built the author identity, designed and built the site, then ran the creative and strategy for the paid social and the email capture that turns a scroll into a first chapter download, and ends with a book purchase.
01 Logo
Four routes. One that fit the books.
Four directions, each a different answer to the same brief: an author with a trilogy still being written. Three of them leaned modern and typographic and would have served plenty of authors well. The one Spencer chose was the one that carried the world inside the books, not just her name — and it left room for everything that came after it: the site, the covers, the ads.
02 Website
A shelf, a sample, and a way in.
An author site has one job before the second book exists: turn a curious visitor into a reader. This one leads with the covers and the world, carries the reviews readers actually wrote, and never lets you get more than a screen away from starting chapter one. It moved from Coming Soon to Now Available to Book Two without a rebuild.

03 Paid social
One promise per ad. A different one each time.
The ads never try to summarise the plot. Each one takes a single promise from the book — a line, a character, a question — and pairs it with the cover, so the campaign keeps changing while the brand underneath stays put. I built the creative and ran the setup, the targeting and the testing, cutting every idea to feed, story and landscape placements.
A carousel that introduces the cast one card at a time. People will not read a synopsis, but they will swipe through five characters and pick a favourite.
04 Lead generation
The first chapter is the offer.
Nobody buys a debut from an ad, so the ad does not ask them to. It offers chapter one free — through Facebook lead forms, a high-conversion tactic that captures the email without sending anyone off the platform, and through a single-field capture on the site that hands the PDF over on the spot. From there the email does the selling: it keeps introducing the world, builds toward the book, and lands the purchase. The download is the top of the funnel; the inbox is where the sale happens.

“I could not be happier with the outcome. My website, logo and marketing ads are unique and appealing. He is now my go-to for anything design related!”
